Tis' the season for MERRY MIRACLES

My AMAZING class has gone ALL OUT this season to spread holiday warmth to those around us!  This was our letter asking those we love to help us adopt angels from the Salvation Angel Tree.

Each year during the holidays, many of us are so very fortunate.  We travel, eat like crazy, fellowship with family and friends, decorate with glistening lights, remember the reason for the season, and make merry.  We often exchange gifts.
Please help us practice generosity.  We are striving to make local children's eyes LIGHT UP on Christmas morning or during Hanukkah celebrations.  Your donation will enable the students in Mrs. Thrasher's Social Studies classes to adopt Angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
On Saturday, December 8, any student from our class who participates in the fundraising effort will be invited to join Mrs. Thrasher for a shopping spree to purchase the gifts for our Angels.
Please forward this link to friends and family all over the nation.  Please ask your businesses to chip in.  For every $90.00 we raise, we can adopt one angel.  We are setting our goal for six angels: three boys and three girls. NEWSFLASH!!!!! WE MET THAT GOAL!!! So we have raised the BAR!!!!!!!!! Our NEW goal is 24 angels!!!! 12 GIRLS and 12 BOYS!!!!!!!!!
With your help, we know we can surpass this goal and adopt even MORE angels

We started out with a goal of $600.00.  We are now up to...wait for it...

$1745.00 WOO HOO!!!

That equates to 18 angels we are adopting from the Angel Tree.  We participated in the Miles For Merry Miracles 5K today.  Enjoy the pictures.

  1. I LOVE this idea! I work at a Title School and I think this would be so empowering for my students to give back to our community. I am definitely going to do this next year. I am your newest follower!

Thanks so much for visiting our classroom blog. Won't you tell us where you are from? We would love to hear from you about you, as well.
